I traveled to Costa Rica over winter break 2012-2013 with Wesley Fellowship. We initially had been planning to do light construction work in Alajuela which is right outside the capital, San Jose; however, when we arrived, our work was changed to dry walling a staircase. I can't imagine though a better group of people (both my classmates from Duke and our partners in Costa Rica) with whom to work on our project though. This trip was an amazing example of balancing both physical work with relational growth. We were also fortunate enough to be able to travel to Manuel Antonio, a very beautiful national park, one day while we were in Costa Rica.
